First version of Indri and Lemur Toolkit released. Indri is a search engine that provides state-of-the-art text search and rich structured query language for large text collections. The CIIR has worked with Carnegie Mellon University researchers (Jamie Callan, PI) on the development of the open-source Lemur software toolkit since 2000. The Lemur Toolkit has become a standard resource for researchers in the field of information retrieval.
